The Vintners' Foundation has generously granted CHICKS the incredible sum of £3,608, which will be used to provide four children from London, who have been affected by alcohol abuse, with a respite break.
The Vintners' Company is one of the twelve great livery companies of the City of London, and maintains strong links with the UK wine trade. The foundation, it's charitable arm, offers support to charities which provide support to those affected by alcohol abuse.
Last year, 143 children who came on a CHICKS break had been affected by their parent or carer's substance and alcohol misuse. The support from the Vintners' Foundation will enable us to support more children this year, and give them a break away from the problems they are facing at home.
