Charitable Trusts and Foundations are an essential part of our fundraising, accounting for a high amount of our annual income. Without support from generous grants and donations, we would not be able to provide our service to more than 1000 children and young people, annually, living in seriously challenging circumstances from across the UK.
These children and young people, aged 8-13, leave their Go Beyond Breaks with improved confidence, resilience & self-esteem, increased confidence in making new friends and communicating with peers and adults, have developed new skills in cookery, bushcraft, textile making, have learned about the environment around them and how they can be more sustainable and have enjoyed being physical active by being outdoors.
For many of these young people these new skills, knowledge, resilience, and confidence give them a clear framework to overcome their worries for the future and apply them in other situations of their lives.
Our partnerships with Charitable Trusts & Foundations vary from supporting project-specific costs, children’s Go Beyond Break costs, children’s Go Beyond Break activity costs, salary costs towards our incredible Break Leaders & Break Coordinators. We are extremely grateful to have the support of Charitable Trusts & Foundations from one-off grants, yearly partnerships, and multi-year partnerships.
Our dedicated Trusts Team works closely with our current Charitable Trusts and Foundations to keep the Trustees up to date as to the impact their support has made. For some this includes a break report inclusive of impact reporting, a site visit & meetings with the Go Beyond Team and an annual Go Beyond Report, depending on each Charitable Trust or Foundation’s wishes.
