We are thrilled to announce plans to re-open our Coastal Retreat in Cornwall for some exciting Go Beyond day breaks this Autumn.
We will be offering a Monday – Friday Go Beyond experience to small groups of young people from the same school bubble.
Making the most of our outdoor spaces and the natural beauty of our Coastal site, children will take part in physical activities including team games, giant trampolines and country walks and eco-therapy activities such as making bird feeders, den building, bug hotel building and craft projects.
Referrals Manager Mairead Phelan said: “While our breaks might look a bit different due to government guidance, with no residential aspect, the experience for the children will still be as incredible as it always has for every young person. We can’t wait to see the first football game take place in the outdoor sports barn and our trampolines being bounced on once more; with smiles shining all around as new friendships are formed and confidence flourishes.”
We are also pleased to announce that for the first time in our history those children and young people eligible to attend our breaks will include children of key workers who themselves have faced increased worry and challenging times in 2020.
Mairead added: “Our day breaks will initially be for groups of 4 young people from the same school bubble. This could be from the same year group if at secondary school, or the same class if at primary.”
If you are interested in a group of four children or young people aged 8-15, or multiple groups of four, attending from your school please get in touch with coordinators@gobeyond.org.uk and our referral’s team will contact you to discuss.
Please bear in mind we will be unable to provide transport for these day activities.
