We are sorry to announce that while schools are closed due to the new COVID-19 restrictions, we have once again made the difficult decision to suspend our breaks until further notice.
This decision has been made to protect the health of the children and young people we support as well as their families, teachers, and our own staff and volunteers. We hope doing so will also contribute to halting the spread of the virus and aid the protection of the NHS and many precious lives.
In addition to the above our shops in Torquay, Newton Abbot and Exeter are now closed and will re-open when it is safe to do so. Our office staff will be working from home.
While not being able to provide our services for young people is deeply upsetting and concerning, the closure of our centres in 2021 feels very different from the uncertainty of lockdown 1.0. This time, we are making big plans for a bright future. When restrictions are lifted, we look forward to opening a cosy library corner at our Coastal Centre in Cornwall, as well as revealing a new vegetable and herb garden for the children to savour warm rays of sunshine, pick their own lunches and feel the calmness of time spent outdoors.
While breaks are off, our inspiring team of Break Leaders are sharing ideas to help the children you’re with lose themselves in games, challenges and mindful activities. Wherever you are, see if you can excite and inspire today.

Please continue to book places for children you know will need a break when we re-open, by emailing coordinators@gobeyond.org.uk or submitting a form online at www.gobeyond.org.uk/breaks.
Once again, your support is helping children who need you to weather the stormiest seas. If you are able to continue giving to us at this time, click the donate button at the top of this page or call 01822 811020 today. Before too long, you’ll be giving children and young people breaks that last a lifetime, and it will feel brighter and better than ever.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
