Jenny is an experienced CHICKS volunteer having been on 15 breaks since 2009! This year’s festive break at Moorland will actually be her fourth Christmas break – we’re so impressed!
Jenny says: “I have found the Christmas breaks particularly rewarding and enjoyable as it is very special to be able to give a group of young people the opportunity to experience a positive Christmas time and do activities that they would not normally take part in.”
Jenny’s highlight from all her CHICKS break is of helping a young boy to swim for the first time: “The confidence boost and excitement that the experience gave to this young boy was so humbling, and something that will stay with me (and probably him) for many years to come!”
We can’t wait until all the volunteers and children arrive for Christmas!
