We are pleased to inform you that our new COVID-secure day breaks are now running for children and young people from our Coastal Centre in Cornwall and Daleside Centre in Derbyshire. At this time we are able to extend our eligibility criteria to include children of key workers as we recognise the sacrifices they have made during this time.

The Breaks
Our COVID-secure day breaks are for groups of four young people from the same school bubble or household. This could be from the same year group if at secondary school, or the same class if at primary.
The format of the break is slightly different to what is normal for Go Beyond. The day breaks are running for a series of five weekdays, from Monday to Friday, or at weekends, with a number of COVID secure activities based on-site. Unfortunately due to government restrictions, there is currently no residential aspect to our breaks.
We have listed a number of additional precautions we will be taking to ensure these day breaks can continue safely amid the on-going pandemic. Please see below for more on this.
Please bear in mind we are unable to provide transport for our day breaks.
What we will be doing to ensure everyone’s safety:
- Asking anyone who doesn’t feel well, or lives with someone who doesn’t feel well, to stay at home
- Providing breaks for young people who are already in a bubble together at school
- Reducing the number of children on each break to allow for social distancing
- Ensuring hand sanitizer is readily available and incorporating regular hand washing into the break
- Regular cleaning during the week and a deep clean before and after each new group of young people
- One way systems in place where possible
- Reducing the number of adults on site by only using Go Beyond staff and no external volunteers for the time being
