How it works
Referring a child or young person is simple — and we’ll guide you every step of the way. Here’s how:
1. Check our criteria
We support children aged 8–13 who are facing serious challenges in their lives, such as caring responsibilities, poverty, neglect, mental health struggles, bullying and many other struggles that children and young people can face. They must be able to attend the full length of the residential break (Monday-Friday).
2. Get in touch
Fill in the quick form below to tell us you’re interested. We’ll get back to you personally to answer any questions you may have.
3. We support you to register as a referral agent
Our friendly team will walk you through everything you need to know. Before you can refer a child, you need to complete our registration process.
4. Children get a life-changing break
Once you are registered, you can refer a child. You will fill in the required paperwork, we will walk you through all of the logistics and our amazing Referral Coordinators will get in touch to discuss the young person’s needs.
Find out more about our breaks and the referral process in our Referrals Brochure.

Why refer?
Because some children need more than just time away.
At Go Beyond, we give children facing serious challenges the chance to be children. Our breaks help them build confidence, make friends, and simply have fun, often for the first time in a long time.
And you can be the one to make that happen.
Who can refer?
We accept referrals from any individual working with children and young people in a professional capacity, including:
- Teachers and school staff members
- Social worker and youth workers
- Community or faith leaders
- Support workers and healthcare professionals
If you’re not sure whether you’re eligible, just ask. We are here to help.
Are you a parent or guardian of a child who needs a break?
As a parent or guardian of the child, we cannot accept referrals directly from you. You can still help give your child a break. Speak to a social worker, teacher or other professional working with your child to submit a request on your behalf.
