We are thrilled to announce that as of 18 October 2021 Day Breaks at our Daleside Centre in Ashbourne can finally restart. Children and young people across the UK, who are facing serious challenges in their lives, will be welcomed back with the chance for fun, friends, and new activities.
For many children, knowing that they can come back on a Go Beyond Break gives them a lifeline. It’s the little bit of light at the end of the tunnel that gets them through some of the desperately hard bits of their everyday lives.
We know that children across the UK have been searching for that light since the start of the pandemic, and we’re looking forward to providing them with the opportunity to experience those moments that help them to believe in themselves and think beyond the day-today for a bigger, brighter future.
We cannot wait for children who are local to the centre to join us on a break and we hope, in time, we can welcome all children across the UK back to relax under the open skies and countryside.
The Daleside centre underwent renovations at the end of 2019 including new insulation, a fresh lick of paint, and a resurfaced driveway. However, due to the closure of the site more work needs to be completed over the next month before the children can join us on a break.
