We are delighted to announce that CHICKS has been chosen as the charity partner for the first ever Hull Lifestyle Awards!
The awards aim recognise those who have put their influential stamp on the city and who have made Hull an iconic destination in its own right – celebrating the very best in arts, culture and food!
We spoke to Jason Gale, CEO of the Lifestyle Awards, and our own Chief Executive Rob Gofton to find out more.
Jason said “I’m delighted to announce CHICKS as our charity partner for this event. Rob and I are both from Hull and are keen to showcase what Hull has to offer and at the same time help support some of the most disadvantaged children from the area. We both want to give something back to our hometown and this is the perfect opportunity.”
Rob continued: “I have known Jason for years and watched his Lifestyle Awards grow. As soon as I heard he was planning an event in Hull I knew we had to be involved as his charity partner. Hull is where I grew up and I have watched the city develop, grow and expand to become an amazing and vibrant city. But we still have a significant number of children living in poverty, facing abuse, domestic violence or having to care for sick or disabled family members. We have just opened a new retreat in Derbyshire and I want more children from Hull to go there and enjoy a break from the challenges they face. Working with Jason and the Lifestyle team will really help us get this message out to the Hull community.”
